A few hours ago Michael attended the 14th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards, he doubled as a presenter and nominee. Unfortunately (again!) Michael C. Hall was snubbed as an ‘Actor’, as the award for Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a TV Series went to James Gandolfini for a little show you might have heard of called The Sopranos. :umm: Regardless, Michael lit up the room and interviewers with his charm and wit!
Pictures are still incredibly scarce at the moment, but check back as we will be adding many more as they become available!
Edit: A total of 20 pictures have been uploaded, a mixture of MQ and HQ. Hopefully we’ll be able to gather up more in the next few days.

Michael C. Hall has been added to the list of presenters at The 14th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards! Michael is also nominated for Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Drama Series for Dexter. The SAG Awards Ceremonies will be airing Sunday, Jan. 27, on TNT and TBS at 8 pm ET/PT!
We are currently unable to record any media like this, so if anyone out there could provide us with a clip of Michael’s presentation, red carpet footage, etc. We’d be ever so grateful! Michael is rarely out in media outlets, and after the cancellation of the Globes, it would be so amazing to be able to watch this and share with the fans. Please get in contact with us if you can help out. And be sure to check back in on the 27th for all the picture coverage! We surely can’t wait until then!
Be sure not to miss this new gallery addition – the (complete?) set of Michael’s 2007 Emmy Magazine photoshoot. Unfortunately the pictures are watermarked but they still easily rate as some of my favorites of him ever taken.

There was no glitz and glamour this evening for the Golden Globes as the traditional event was cancelled due to the on going writers strike, but even more upsetting Michael C. Hall did not win Best Performance by an Actor In A Television Series: Drama. Instead Jon Hamm won for his performance in Mad Men. :almostcry:
To view the full list of winners visit the official Golden Globes website.
It’s upsetting to see Michael go unrewarded for his truly amazing performances in every single episode, but I guess we can take comfort in the success of Dexter and those who do appreciate such a fine character and story. Hopefully there will be many more great seasons to come for us fans too. But as always, In our eyes Michael is still the true winner!
The entire creative ensemble of Dexter was awarded an award of a year in excellency at the 2008 AFI Awards Luncheon. The event was held yesterday in Los Angeles and Michael was there to accept on behalf of the show. Huge congrats on the well deserved accolade. :) I have added the first few pictures, hopefully we will have more later on today. Here is what the American Film Institute had to say about Dexter (I for one totally agree!):
Dexter places its hands firmly on the throat of expectation and – minute by minute – tightens its grip until audiences begin to question their idea of morality. Michael C. Hall’s masterfully nuanced performance as Dexter breathes humanity into a monster – a killer who murders those he believes have gotten away with murder. The world through Dexter’s dark, droll and wickedly funny gaze, in many ways, defines today’s era of television – stories that are wildly ambitious, intricately told, and deeply, emotionally engaging.

The Hollywood Foreign Press Assocation today announced that Sunday’s Golden Globe Awards press conference is now open to all media outlets.
After discussions with NBC, Hollywood Foreign Press Association President Jorge Camara today announced that the HFPA will have complete control of its 65th Annual Golden Globe Awards Announcement that is scheduled to take place Sunday, January 13 at 6:00 p.m. PST in the International Ballroom of The Beverly Hilton. Under the new arrangement, there will be no restrictions placed on media outlets covering the press conference.
Which basically means that you’ll be able to watch the announcement on presumably numerous networks and news programs. Michael C. Hall is yet again nominated for is work in Dexter.

CHUD is reporting that Liev Schreiber is playing Victor Creed (aka Sabretooth) in the Gavin Hood-directed X-Men Origins: Wolverine and not a young Stryker as was previously believed.
The site adds that Michael C. Hall is instead in talks for the role of Stryker and that they are eyeing Michelle Monaghan for Silverfox.
Leading up to the events of X-Men,” Wolverine tells the story of Wolverine’s epically violent and romantic past, his complex relationship with Victor Creed, and the ominous Weapon X program. Along the way, Wolverine encounters many mutants, both familiar and new, including surprise appearances by several legends of the X-Men universe.
The movie opens in theaters on May 1, 2009.
Here’s the Michael related mention from CHUD:
So who is playing Stryker? Nobody is set yet, but the producers are darkly dreaming Dexter, if you get what I mean. Meanwhile the rest of the cast is still in formation, which means that the producers are hunting folks down – one of the names that’s on the top of their list is Michelle Monaghan for Silver Fox. I’ve heard a lot of names attached to this one over the weeks – and reported some of them – and I know that there’s another high powered actress that’s on the list as well, so nothing is set in stone. But as I always say, the casting wish lists tell you a lot about what the filmmakers are striving for, and a Wolverine movie featuring Michael C Hall, Liev Schreiber and Michelle Monaghan is a damn well cast Wolverine movie.
