I expect there will be a lot of reports from Comic-Con this week, with Dexter getting a panel and Michael C. Hall confirmed for attendence (atleast one can hope  ). The event’s preview night kicked off tonight (you lucky bastards who got to go!) and already we get treated. Check out these totally killer (pun intended?) new Dexter toys and props on display as well as the badass new limited edition poster. Thanks to Bloody-Disgusting.com for the cool peek!
And in case you didn’t already know, the panel will be held tomorrow at 5:45-6:45 in Room 6CDEF. See the official site for more details. Also I’d like to mention for those of you who aren’t able to attend the event (like myself), the station G4 does air coverage from Comic-Con beginning tomorrow night. I plan to watch but unfortunately I would not be able to record this if Michael C. Hall happened to pop in. But I thought I’d alert you none the less.

A couple of days back I uploaded photos from Showtime’s TCA Press Tour, which Michael and the Dexter team attended on July 18, 2008. It is nice to see them all together again.
I also uploaded the very first shots from the season 3 promo photoshoot. Here’s to hoping we’ll get many more soon.

Dexter Morgan, You’ve Got a Friend: “Dexter has turned his back on his father but is still using the code,” Michael C. Hall says of his darky, dreaming alter ego in the upcoming season. “And yet, there still remains an unconscious desire for connection. And certain circumstances lead him into a relationship with Jimmy Smits’ character which satisfy that urge in him.” Executive producer Clyde Phillips teases that Smits plays a an assistant DA with “great political ambition” and he becomes Dexter’s “first adult friend.”

Talk about Showtime!
The little network that could, or as we around theTVaddict.com are now calling it — HBO 2.0 — decided to pull out all the stops my rolling up the Weeds, Californication, Dexter and Brotherhood panel into one enormous joi…. ummm fantastic panel.
Heck, even one of the executives joked, “This is the Showtime mixer!” Granted, I’ve never seen Brotherhood, but at least I hear it’s good. The other shows I can vouch for. And I admittedly had a chill go up my spine when Michael C. Hall walked onto the stage. How can people not be afraid that this guy is going to stick a knife in their backs?
What’s really impressive was how much everyone looked like they had tried to dress like their characters, except Michael C. Hall who wore a sharp suit. David Duchovny was wearing a black button up shirt with a wrinkled black sportcoat, and Mary Louise Parker had on a sharp little cocktail dress and looked radiant in her gleaming white skin. How she’s lived in California all this time and not become tan, I’ll never know. She’s sitting on the far left, right next to David Duchovny, who’s sitting next to Michael C. Hall, who’s sitting next to Jason Clarke in an awesome row of Showtime star power.
Congratulations to Michael C. Hall for his second Emmy nomination – and the very first one for this incredible performance in Dexter! It is wonderful to see his work as Dexter Morgan acknowledged by the Emmy voters this year.
The 60th annual Primetime Emmy Awards will be broadcast live on September 21 from the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles on ABC.

I came across a really cool noir style photoshoot featuring Michael C. Hall. I do not know the origin or year for these so if you can help out, please leave a comment. I hope you enjoy the rare set!

We have been considering installing a discussion forum for the site for a good while. This would be a spot where the fans could discuss Michael C. Hall and his amazing work. But because setting up and maintaining a forum is a lot of extra work, I’d like to ask you a question.
If we install a forum, would you join up and keep it an active place? Please leave your answer in the comments section or drop us an email.
If the majority of you would like a forum, then we would need several moderators to keep everything running smoothly, as we wouldn’t be able to oversee the forum by ourselves, although we would be popping in from time to time! If you are interested in being a moderator, be sure to mention that when leaving a comment. Previous experience is preferred.
Thanks in advance!

• Dexter takes murder marketing to a new level… With all the fuss being made over J.C. Penney’s real-but-not video spot that won a Cannes Bronze Lion, we were pleased yesterday when some actual marketing stunts arrived from Dexter, the Michael C. Hall series about a lovable serial killer. First, there was Dexter’s Wrapping Paper (”Due to its impermeability and adhesion keeps the victim well wrapped and the floor free of blood splatter. Avoiding leaving clues and traces of any crimes.”), which carried information about the series printed on the plastic wrap itself. (source – includes must see pics!)
• Michael C. Hall attended Diablo Cody’s 30th birthday bash at the Playboy mansion this past weekend. I have not been able to find any pictures so far… But Michael and Diablo – now there’s a collaboration I’d love to see! (source)
