The website AfterElton.com has compiled a list of their top 50 gay television characters of all time. And they have chosen Six Feet Under‘s David Fisher as the tenth choice. (Last year ranking at #8). I personally love the show so much I don’t mind posting news about it like this, and honestly David was one of the most complex and well rounded characters in TV history, it’s worth of some attention even if the show is a few years old – well, in my opinion at least! If you have not witnessed Michael C. Hall’s amazing portrayal on the show, due yourself the duty of picking up seasons one-five/complete series box set, available on DVD. (I actually saw the seasons on sale in media stores this week – Just a little FYI!) By the way, Keith Charles (played by Mathew St. Patrick on the show) ranks at #29.

Talk about guys we all know! As David Fisher, the repressed gay undertaker at the center of Alan Ball’s landmark series Six Feet Under, actor Michael C. Hall created a character that made us all nod in recognition. But the most interesting part of the character wasn’t where he started – it was where he ended up, and the journey he made getting there. The things he experienced, both alone and later with his partner Keith, made David easily among the most realistic, complicated, and satisfying gay television characters ever.

This was so exciting to receive and I’m sure you will get just as much enjoyment from these goodies as we did! I also found another Dexter faux mag cover piece (GQ) and made scans.

The gallery has been updated with Michael C. Hall scans galore! We would like to pay a special thanks to Sana for sharing lots of her Michael collection with us. It’s immensely appreciated. This update features publications all the way back to 2002 with his Six Feet Under promotion and many new things like the Dexter faux mini magazines now inside most of the magazines which the covers are modeled after. Michael also was photographed for The NY Times and the totally cool image from that is now available!

I have begun capping the second season of Six Feet Under. Today I uploaded captures from five episodes. While he doesn’t have the biggest amount of screentime (compared to later episodes or Dexter), they do feature some great moments, some of my favorites and in my opinion funniest include David’s dream sequence and Nate on ecstasy in just 2×01 alone. Also check out super cute baby Michael in episode five. I love this show so much! Enjoy the caps!

Apologies for the lack in updates. There has not been much going on in the world of Michael C. Hall. Dexter is currently in pre-production and will no doubt begin filming within the next few months. Game has wrapped filming and is in post-production. Mycah and I are currently working on a brand new feature for the site, which we feel will be an amazing addition. Stay tuned for the launch next week!
