Quoting: "Its strange to have a creation out there. A deeply mutated version of yourself, running loose and screwing everything up. I wonder if this is how parents feel." - Dexter Morgan

Third Age has a brief article with Michael C. Hall, check it out below!

Dexter‘s leading man – Michael C. Hall has nearly 2 million viewers a week hooked as his titular serial killer slices and dices bad guys on Showtime’s thriller Dexter (Sundays, 9 p.m.). The Golden Globe winner, 39, who is married to costar Jennifer Carpenter, 30, opens up to Us.

Q: Dexter is gory. Ever get squeamish?
Nah! If that stuff were actually real, I’d be as squeamish as anybody. But as long as I know it’s fake, I’m totally fine.

Q: Is it odd that fans root for a killer?
I’m comfortable with people rooting for me because I make- pretend kill!

Q: How are you doing, healthwise?
I feel great. The Hodgkin’s lymphoma is in remission. My treatment ended months ago, and my energy is back.

Q: After being on Dexter and Six Feet Under, what do you want to do next?
I’d love to do something where I never encounter a dead body!

There’s little on-set PDA with Carpenter, says Hall: “We pride ourselves on being professional.”

Michael C Hall has said he enjoys filming the killing scenes in Dexter, because he is never entirely sure how they will end up.

The actor, who has won a Golden Globe and Screen Actors Guild award for his portrayal of the enigmatic protagonist, said the cast and crew feel excited on set because they only discover how unique each climactic scene at the time of filming.

“All the layers or veils or masks are gone and we’re really sort of at the essence of who this person experiences himself to be – so there’s a sense of excitement, enthusiasm,” he explained.

“In spite of the fact that there are characteristics that all the kill-room scenes share, each one has its own distinct character and flavour, and that sense of uniqueness is something that we discover as we shoot it.”

Michael added the team try not to take the experience home with them.

“Some days it’s easier than others to just walk away,” he said.

He joked: “I never, thankfully, go home and feel the need to wrap anybody up and kill them in my real life. Maybe I would if I didn’t have this outlet.”
