Hi all Michael fans! Are you excited for the premier of Dexter Season 5 in just about 2 weeks? I really can’t wait.Only 16 days are left! If you are into the origins of Dexter, you should be aware that the show is based on a series of novels by Jeff Lindsay. The first season is pretty much based off of Darkly Dreaming Dexter, and if you watch it again you will notice all the alliterative things Dexter says. Anyway, the newest book is the fifth in the series and is called Dexter is Delicious and was just released this week. It deals with Dexter trying to be a new man and stop his killing spree and also some teenage “vampires”. Don’t worry though, this is not some Twilight ripoff. Will the writers at Showtime incorporate this? I have no idea, but no matter what the writers do, I’m sure Michael will do a superb job portraying the character.
Meanwhile, Showtime has released a new promo clip with Julia Stiles where she talks about how great an actor Michael is.
Hi all Michael fans. I seem to be a little behind the news, but I just found out about these Dodge commercials featuring Michael’s voice. They’re all actually pretty funny. One of them was controversial because it had a monkey, and then PETA complained and they had to digitally remove the real monkey and put in an invisible monkey. Political correctness is really hilarious sometimes. Continue reading to see the clips!
Hi all Michael fans. It seems that the newest controversy about Dexter is that Toys R Us is starting to carry Dexter action figures. Some parents are really upset that a serial killer is on the store’s shelves along with Elmo. I just find it kind of funny because there are other action figures of villains and heroes at Toys R. Us, too. Also, there are tons of toy knives and guns and it is really up to the parents as to what their kids should and should not play with. I am guessing that these toys would be picked up by Dexter fans, and not kids idolizing serial killers. At least, I hope kids aren’t idolizing serial killers. The dolls were marked that they are not intended for children and Toys R. Us only ordered a small stock. According to the report these action figures are selling out fairly quickly. Anyway, if you are interested in the action figures and don’t want to get weird looks from these parents at Toys R. Us then they are available at Amazon.com, too. I think they would make great gifts for Michael/Dexter fans. There are several versions and they all look pretty close to Michael/Dexter.
What do you think? Are people making too big of a deal out of this? Would you let your kids play with a Dexter/Michael C. Hall action figure? Talk about it in the Dexter Morgan forums!

As you know, Michael C. Hall has been battling Hodgkin’s Lymphoma this year. This is a type of cancer of the white blood cells, but he is currently in remission. As a star who is personally affected by cancer, Michael will be appearing in the Stand Up to Cancer television special on September 10th, 2010. This is a multiple network special that aims to raise money for cancer research. Make sure to check your local TV listings!
Dexter star Michael C. Hall has admitted that he hopes the show will win an Emmy award.
The showtime drama is nominated for ‘Outstanding Drama Series’, while Hall himself is up for ‘Outstanding Lead Actor In A Drama Series’ for his role as serial killer Dexter Morgan.
“I feel like any award for the show is an award for all of us,” he told Zap2It. “To have that formally recognised so that people could really, without reservation, share a collective sense of pride would be amazing.”
However, he insisted that he feels honored just to be nominated for an award.
Being bad turned out to be very good for actor John Lithgow.
Lithgow won Best Guest Actor in a drama at Saturday’s Creative Arts Emmys in L.A. for his bone-chilling role as a serial murderer in Showtime’s Dexter.
Lithgow, 64, credited his chemistry with onscreen nemesis Michael C. Hall for bringing the character to terrifying life – and said Hall is “doing very, very well” since revealing in January that he was in remission from Hodgkin’s lymphoma.
“There were about four days over the course of that season last year that I had to work as hard as Michael does every day,” Lithgow told reporters after winning his Emmy. “He’s had no trouble this season working five days a week, so I’m delighted.”
Lithgow also offered reporters a puzzled reaction to his onstage gaffe – in accepting the award, he thanked rival network HBO rather than Showtime.
“I said HBO?” he said afterward. “I’ll never live that down.”
PopSugar interviewed Michael C. Hall and he told them he’d love to play the Riddler in the upcoming Batman film. Various sites have posted actor suggestions for the role and Michael was listed. I’d personally love to see it! Michael also gave some details regarding Julia Stiles’s upcoming stint on Dexter.
After revealing earlier this year that he was battling cancer, Dexter star Michael C. Hall is healthy, whole and back in the role of Showtime’s oddly noble serial killer – and grateful for the support he received from his cast and crew during the tough period.
“I count myself lucky on so many fronts – and certainly in regards to the Hodgkin’s [lymphoma],” a fit-looking Hall, again sporting a full head of hair after his treatments, told People this week at San Diego’s Comic-Con International.
“It’s a real gift to be able to go back to work,” says Hall, 39. “One of the best things about it is that it emerged at a time when we were close to the end of shooting. I was able to treat it over the hiatus and it didn’t interrupt our production schedule, which, obviously, would have its effect on me, but it would have its effect on our cast, our crew, people who count on this family to keep making the show.”
