Finally got the time to add the latest Michael events. This update includes pictures from the 62nd Annual Emmy Awards, The Toronto International Film Festival premiere of Peep World (as well as photoshoot portraits) and Stand Up To Cancer. Enjoy!
Yesterday Michael C. Hall was in attendence for Showtime’s 2010 Emmy Nominee Reception. He is of course nominated at tonight’s Emmy’s which are just a few hours away! Check out photos of Michael from yesterday’s event have been added and continue following the site & twitter for tonight’s Emmy Awards updates!
Back on Wednesday and Thursday, Michael attended Showtime’s 2010 Summer Press Tour. There was a party and a panel for discussion where the Dexter cast gathered. In attendance alongside Michael was Jennifer Carpenter, C.S Lee and James Remar. I have added pictures to the site and if you read on you can view a short video from the panel.
You can read a transcript of what was said at the panel on Examiner.com and there is some scoop on MSNBC.
Hall all too often hears that his show, and his character again, often make people want to go out and kill someone, too, because he makes it look, fun, easy, and let’s face it, justifiable:
“Well, I don’t, you know, lose sleep over the possibility that I’m advocating serial murder through my work, you know. I mean, I think it’s undeniably relatable. He’s killing people. We all– most of us probably live in L.A. or spend time here in traffic, things like that. I mean, we get that impulse. But, I mean, I’m proud of the show. When I hear comments like that, I don’t really worry…I feel like it’s more a meditation on the nature of morality, of our shadow side…I guess, if I hear a comment like that and I’m in the room, I just sort of smile and nod and say ‘I know. I hope that this helps lessen the flames in you, that you can watch it, and it can be therapeutic’.”
Screencaps from the trailers and spot for the fifth season have been added to the site, as well as the very first batch of stills from the new episodes!
Coverage from Comic-Con 2010 has now been added to the gallery. This update includes pictures from both the Dexter and Showtime’s Anti-Heroes panels, backstage and interview snaps, a Dexter party and more. Michael looked fantastic, did he not? It is so great to see him looking so healthy and more handsome than ever!
I’ve been unable to update the site this past week, so here is a quick catch up of Michael news!
Michael and the beautiful wifey Jennifer Carpenter attended the South Pacific premiere at the Ahmanson Theatre a few days back. They really look great and I’m so beyond happy to see Michael out and looking good! Unfortunately I only managed to swipe a two small pictures, but maybe more will surface one day.
Lastly, some news regarding Dexter. It’s now been confirmed that Julia Stiles will join the fifth season. Also joining the new season is Shawn Hatosy who is coming in for a multi-episode arc. Entertainment Weekly adds that he will be playing “a bad guy”.
Finally something new with Michael! He is now in New York filming East Fifth Bliss and yesterday he and Lucy Liu were spotted on the set of the upcoming movie. It’s great to see Michael and he’s looking fantastic!
As you will notice he is wearing a wig to hide his hairloss from cancer treatment for the filming. The wig is a hi-tech $10,000 (£6,250). The wig is made entirely of human hair strands that have been sewn separately into the wig base. The whole thing is the best that money can buy and cost around $10,000, so producers have assigned specific crew members to look after the wig and keep it groomed between shots.”
East Fifth Bliss is about a guy in his mid-thirties watches as his life comically unravels after he enters into a relationship with the daughter of a former high school classmate.
Last night in Beverly Hills, Michael C. Hall made an appearance at the 27th Annual PaleyFest, this year honoring Dexter. Desmond Harrington, Jennifer Carpenter, Julie Benz, Lauren Velez, David Zayas, C.S. Lee and Brando Eston also were in attendance. As you’ll see in the photos, Michael is really looking fantastic, which is great to see!
At the event, Entertainment Weekly got the exclusive dish on season five of the series. Now some pretty heavy season 4 & 5 spoilers are discussed, but I decided to go ahead and read it myself as I would like to know the direction the show might take after the big big from the last episode of season 4. It answered my questions and I can definitely say I’m looking forward to the fifth season more than any of the past years! If you would like to get a peek into whats to come then check out the article here! If you wish to remain spoiler free, then avoid. ;)
They also spoke a bit about Michael’s recovery and said:
“Michael’s in full remission. I just had a three-hour breakfast with him this morning. He’s in great shape and is getting his energy back. We are all very excited to get back to work. The guy is incredibly courageous and worked hard all through last season despite being sick. He’s an amazing human being and actor. It was scary, but the show will go on. We start shooting in late April or May, which is usual. We will not have to stall production.”
Finally, you can view the first photos I’ve found in the gallery. Everyone looks so great! Jennifer looks adorable in the photos too.
