Here is the video of Michael winning Best Actor at the 16th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards! The clip is a little longer than just his own speech but I will replace it with a higher quality version when it’s available.

Truly amazing! Michael was once again been honored for his work in Dexter‘s fourth season, this time by his peers at the 16th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards! Warmest congratulations on your well deserved award!

Michael shook his head in disbelief and thanked Jennifer “for wearing that dress.”

“Thank you. Thank you so much to our union for this recognition. Thank you to our writers for their plate-spinning ability and audacity. And thank you as well to our crew who I think have as much to do with the cohesiveness that we manage on this show as anyone. And finally, again, to my cast mates, thank you for your professionalism and your talent, and for your willingness to endure all those awkward pauses while Dexter thinks his voiceover. (laughter)

Thank you to my wife, Jennifer. Thank you for wearing that dress. (laughter) And thank you to my mom for keeping all the most important doors open for me.

Thank you.” (applause)

We now have a video clip of the Press Room. Michael is his charming self as always! Also a little spoiler warning to those who might not have seen the fourth season of Dexter as it and the show’s next season are briefly discussed!

Dexter‘s Michael C. Hall seems fine. It’s we reporters who seem out of sorts. After respectful applause for Hall’s entrance, the room falls silent. “Am I supposed to talk?” Hall asks.

On his current battle with cancer:
“Well, it’s a personal matter and to be completely frank, I had every intention of keeping it quiet. Because the award shows were imminent, I figured I would make a statement. It was also nice to make a statement at the point in my treatment that I did, where I was able to assure people that I am really on the road to recovery. And it’s nice to have a justifiable excuse for accessorizing.”

“It’s a matter of personal health. I had every intention of keeping it quiet.”

On his hat:
“It’s nice to have a justifiable excuse for accessorizing.” And, “I’m doing fine.”

“I wanted something pretty simple. I found this Japanese hat.”
OK, so about Hall’s headwear: Yes, it’s a treatment-related accessory, but more importantly, it’s comfy. “I wanted something that was pretty simple, but a maybe a little fancier than your normal thing,” he explains.

About Dexter
Hall says the show’s writers, they of last season’s shocking finale, head back to clean up the mess and start the new season on Wednesday. “I think I’m excited as all the viewers to see what’s in store,” he says.

What made this season special:
“Well John certainly turned the knob up to 11. He’s such a phenomenal talent and has such an energy about him that affects everyone from the crew to the producers.”
