I’ve been unable to update the site this past week, so here is a quick catch up of Michael news!
Michael and the beautiful wifey Jennifer Carpenter attended the South Pacific premiere at the Ahmanson Theatre a few days back. They really look great and I’m so beyond happy to see Michael out and looking good! Unfortunately I only managed to swipe a two small pictures, but maybe more will surface one day.
Lastly, some news regarding Dexter. It’s now been confirmed that Julia Stiles will join the fifth season. Also joining the new season is Shawn Hatosy who is coming in for a multi-episode arc. Entertainment Weekly adds that he will be playing “a bad guy”.

Last night in Beverly Hills, Michael C. Hall made an appearance at the 27th Annual PaleyFest, this year honoring Dexter. Desmond Harrington, Jennifer Carpenter, Julie Benz, Lauren Velez, David Zayas, C.S. Lee and Brando Eston also were in attendance. As you’ll see in the photos, Michael is really looking fantastic, which is great to see!
At the event, Entertainment Weekly got the exclusive dish on season five of the series. Now some pretty heavy season 4 & 5 spoilers are discussed, but I decided to go ahead and read it myself as I would like to know the direction the show might take after the big big from the last episode of season 4. It answered my questions and I can definitely say I’m looking forward to the fifth season more than any of the past years! If you would like to get a peek into whats to come then check out the article here! If you wish to remain spoiler free, then avoid.
They also spoke a bit about Michael’s recovery and said:
“Michael’s in full remission. I just had a three-hour breakfast with him this morning. He’s in great shape and is getting his energy back. We are all very excited to get back to work. The guy is incredibly courageous and worked hard all through last season despite being sick. He’s an amazing human being and actor. It was scary, but the show will go on. We start shooting in late April or May, which is usual. We will not have to stall production.”
Finally, you can view the first photos I’ve found in the gallery. Everyone looks so great! Jennifer looks adorable in the photos too.

Examiner has some of what was said by Michael in the SAG Press Room.
How have you spent your time in the days between winning your Golden Globe Award and your Screen Actors Guild Award? And how are you feeling?
I have been feeling very well. Because I made this announcement [about recovering from Hodgkin’s lymphoma, a type of cancer], these public appearances were on the horizon, and it’s actually been a nice surprise. I’ve had a lot of people reach out to me who otherwise wouldn’t have: high-school teachers, friends from college. I spent a lot of this week responded to a lot of concerned but ultimately congratulatory e-mails and things like that. It’s been a lot of fun.
When you started Dexter, did you foresee getting any awards for the show? Did you think the show would be as critically acclaimed as it is?
I didn’t know. I knew our task was to sympathize a serial killer, and that it was a unique goal. I thought that the show would probably develop some sort of cult following, but I didn’t anticipate that the following would be as broad, that it would attract as many different kinds of viewers as it’s had. And I certainly didn’t foresee [Dexter] bobbleheads and video games and all that stuff.
Where did you put your Golden Globe, and where are you going to put your Screen Actors Guild Award?
I put it [the Golden Globe Award] in a little passageway in between the bathroom and the guest bedroom, where we have such things in our house. I’ll probably put it [the Screen Actors Guild Award] up there.
