Hello Mr. Hall. I am the parent of a 19 year old college student- a very bright one I might add, that thinks the world of your show. He keeps tellling me that I am missing the best show on TV. But the thing that you and my son have in common the most is that you both HAD Hodgkins Lymphoma. He also just finished treatment from chemo and radiation in mid- December 2009. He is also in remission-thank God- and we pray that he as well as you remain that way forever. He being the mature man that he is- took the diagnosis very well and from day one he had mentioned to another cancer survivor that he had no doubt in his mind that he would beat it. Well just today he had his first after treatment Cat scans of his neck,chest and abdomen and they all came back like the last ones– all were normal.(sigh of relief). Life continues and now he is to be returning to college again next week at the conclusion of the winter break. We are very happy for my son and are happy for you as well. Cancer survivors are very special people. For myself as a parent- I have become a member of some cancer forum sites where you e-mail questions to regular people who have either had cancer or have it or are parents of people touched by cancer. What I have found is that these people are the true heroes of our society. They have gone through so much angst and sorrow in their lives and yet they have the time and energy to help others through friendly e-mail replies and comforting words. They even educate us as well when we have questions that some doctors do not answer adequatley. So again we wish you all good health and be proud of your accomplishments. You as well as my son have entered into a very elite group of special hero-like people.
