Nominees for the 16th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards for outstanding performances in 2009 were announced this morning in Los Angeles at the Pacific Design Center’s Silver Screen Theater in West Hollywood. And Michael is a double nominee!

Dexter also received a nomination fro Outstanding Performance by a Stunt Ensemble in a Television Series. The 16th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards will be simulcast live nationally on TNT and TBS on Saturday, Jan. 23, 2010 at 8 p.m. ET/PT, 7 p.m. CT, and 6 p.m. MT from the Los Angeles Shrine Exposition Center. Christmas came early for the fans of Dexter as the nominations for the 67th Annual Golden Globes Nominations were just announced in Los Angeles and it was just announced Michael C. Hall is nominated for his terrific work in the show, as well as some fantastic and deserving surprises like John Lithgow’s nomination and a nod for the series itself!

Sunday proved to be night of historic highs for a trio of cablers.The season finale of Dexter was seen by 2.6 million viewers, making it the most-watched episode of any show in the history of Showtime. In its fourth season, Michael C. Hall starrer has been a big hit for the cabler. A week ago, the penultimate episode of the season drew 2.1 million viewers, which was the highest aud in 10 years for Showtime but last night’s finale shatters that short-lived record. The finale featured a final showdown between Michael C. Hall’s lead character and rival serial killer Trinity (John Lithgow).
