Dexter’s Michael C. Hall and Julie Benz will make a repeat appearance at Comic Con this year, Showtime insiders say. The pair, who play newlyweds Dexter Morgan and Rita Bennett Morgan, were a huge hit at last year’s event.

One thing we know that’s on the agenda: the unveiling of the new Comic Con exclusive Dexter “Dark Defender” action figure, which comes with fake blood.

Season 4 of Dexter drops Sept. 27, only on Showtime

Ballroom 20 Thursday, July 23rd 5:00 – 6:00PM

Thanks to Meina for alerting us to an article with Michael about season four of Dexter at The LA Times. Minor spoilers here but if you are remaining totally spoiler free, here is your warning!

Dexter is about as good as evil can get. The Showtime series’ titular character is a sociopath who is driven to kill. His adoptive father, Harry, a cop, taught him to channel his blood lust so that he only murders other murderers. In following his father’s honor code, Michael C. Hall’s Dexter fashions a type of life for himself while hiding slides of each victim’s blood in his apartment’s air-conditioning unit as trophies. Unsurprisingly, he’s great at his day job as a blood spatter analyst for the Miami Police Department, where his adoptive sister Debra (Jennifer Carpenter) follows in their father’s footsteps, just a little less bloodily. (Carpenter and Hall were married in December.) Hall, previously known to audiences as David on HBO’s Six Feet Under, is indelible as a man possessed by darkness who tries very hard to resemble a normal human being. The Season 3 finale found him murdering his new best friend, escaping from, framing and killing another serial killer, and getting married to Rita (Julie Benz), his pregnant girlfriend. To viewers, it was all pretty reasonable behavior. Compelling as well: In three seasons he’s been nominated for three Golden Globes and an Emmy. Two days into shooting Season 4, which will begin Sept. 27, Hall sat down to talk about his character’s dark path. As he joked, “I feel like I’m Dexter’s press secretary sometimes,” he added a caveat: “I don’t think Dexter’s the most reliable narrator from time to — time, and I may not be the most reliable press secretary.”

Each season has had a strong overarching theme concerning Dexter’s connection with the world and with his darkness. Can you run them down?

First off, thanks for the comments about the new layout. I’m glad you’re liking it!

On June 6th, Michael and wifey Jennifer Carpenter attended the La Mer & Oceana Celebrate World Oceans Day in Beverly Hills. Only a few pictures have surfaced but it’s better than none at all of course.

Welcome to the third version of Michael C. Hall Online. While I still liked the previous layout I thought it would be nice for a change especially since Dexter is off air and the last was in total celebration of season three. This layout (which is probably our least morbid one to date, haha!) features Michael’s Blackbook Magazine outtakes. It’s nice to see a smiley Michael isn’t it? :)

The layout was tested for IE and Firefox and holds up in both, but Firefox is always preferred on this site. Be sure to comment if you find any errors and I’ll try to fix it. Feel free to leave any feedback you may have!

Two new stills from Gamer which feature Michael C. Hall and Gerard Butler have been released. Thanks to Lisa for the finds!

Releasing September 4, 2009, Gamer takes place in the non-too-distant future, where video games and reality TV have gone way beyond the boundaries of today. 2018′s top-rated show pits prison convicts against each other in a deadly militaristic game. John Tillman (Butler), framed and imprisoned for life for a crime he did not commit, must participate in the Game to win release from his sentence. His military training and natural physical prowess have made him hugely popular with the millions of fans who tune in each week to watch the show – but even more powerful forces want to make sure that Tillman never gets out alive.
