Fresh off Golden Globe nominations for drama series and lead actor Michael C. Hall, the season-three finale of Showtime’s Dexter scored the pay cabler’s biggest numbers ever.
Series garnered more than 1.5 million viewers for its initial 9 p.m. run Sunday, better than any Showtime perf since the network switched to measuring ratings on just its primary channel in 2004. Series averaged 1.1 million viewers on its initial run for the season.
The pay cabler’s previous best single-airing perf was established three years ago by Weeds.
Californication also scored its best numbers of the season, with 615,000 viewers watching its initial run, which led out of Dexter at 10 p.m.
