Today, February 1st, 2010 is Michael C. Hall’s 39th Birthday! We want to wish him a special Happy Birthday and hope he has a wonderful day spent among his family and loved ones! It’s been an incredible year for Michael professionally, what with the announcement of two new film projects; East Fifth Bliss and filming Peep World. And of course the success and acclaim of Dexter’s record breaking fourth season, the win of a Golden Globe and SAG. While personally he celebrated his one year anniversary to wife Jennifer Carpenter and having his cancer go into remission. So on behalf of the fans we just want say: We love you Michael and have a wonderful birthday! How about celebrating the day on his behalf by watching your MCH favorite performances. Perhaps a favorite episode of Six Feet Under or Dexter. |

Lionsgate scored a triple win on the national home video charts the week ending Jan. 24, as the sci-fi actioner Gamer, with a mere $20.5 million in theatrical receipts, topped all three charts. Lionsgate typically saves some of its moderately successful theatricals for January and February DVD and Blu-ray Disc releases, when major-studio menus are light. As a result, the mini-major is able to dominate the charts in those months, racking up significant sales and rentals. Gamer debuted at No. 1 on the Nielsen VideoScan First Alert sales chart for the week, with the previous bestseller, Tyler Perry’s I Can Do Bad All by Myself, another Lionsgate release, falling all the way down to No. 8. Gamer also was the top-selling Blu-ray Disc release of the week, with Nielsen research showing that 31% of the title’s total first-week sales were on the Blu-ray Disc format. The Harry Potter Alliance (http://www.thehpalliance.org) and different websites across many different fandoms have put together a massive online donation drive to assist efforts in Haiti. Some of these fandoms include websites from Harry Potter, True Blood, Firefly, Mad Men, Dexter and many many more. If you donate at http://www.thehpalliance.org/haiti by January 30th, you are automatically entered to win one of more than 200 prizes, many of which are unique, rare, and highly valuable! So far, the drive has raised well over $40,000 in less than 48 hours! It has been truly amazing, and it wouldn’t be possible withoutunprecedented inter-fandom cooperation. Dexter fans might be interested in these prizes in particular:
More non-related prizes include such gems as A full set of Harry Potter novels signed and donated by J.K. Rowling or original, never before seen, concept art from the film Where the Wild Things Are. And these are just a few of the items you can win by donating. A complete list of prizes can be found at here. For more information or to donate go to http://www.thehpalliance.org/haiti, or you can follow their twitter. |

This is nothing relatively new in general, but rather a fun new feature on the site. Today I created a new category in the video vault for audio clips, where I just posted the Dodge commercials and now I’ve added a couple of clips of Michael singing. Mainly from various episodes of the great Six Feet Under. Thanks to
